New VAS-A Visor System:
One of the biggest updates in the Tour-X5 is the new VAS-A visor system. This system, derived from Arai’s VAS-V system developed for the RX-7V, maximises Glancing-Off performance by offering more surface area to deflect impact energy. The new Max Vision visor increases visibility and provides easy installation and removal, while allowing the simple addition of a Pinlock insert for fog prevention. The VAS-A visor system also offers the flexibility to easily switch between adventure, off-road, and on-road visor styles without the need for tools.
Advanced Ventilation:
The Tour-X5 comes with a completely revamped ventilation system that ensures you stay cool in any conditions. Featuring a total of three intake vents and five exhaust vents, this system guarantees ample airflow. The 3D logo duct, previously seen on the Quantic, is complemented by the new AR Spoiler and Delta Duct 6, offering optimal cooling. The inner vent gate can direct air to either the mouth or visor for enhanced defogging. Arai’s ventilation components, such as the 3D logo duct and AR Spoiler, are designed to break off in the event of an impact for maximum Glancing-Off performance, providing added safety.
Comfort & Fit:
The interior of the Tour-X5 is fully removable, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance. The redesigned nose deflector ensures a better fit with goggles, and the FCS cheek pads offer a firm and comfortable fit for both on-road and off-road adventures. The rear crown pad is adjustable for a more customised fit, and the helmet also includes speaker pockets and a neckroll wire pocket, making it easy to integrate a communication system.
