Warranty Coverage
Shoei offers a limited warranty on all its helmets under the following terms:
- Duration: The warranty covers the helmet for five (5) years from the date of purchase or seven (7) years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first. The manufacture date can be found inside the helmet.
- Scope: The warranty guarantees that the helmet is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
Who is Covered?
The Shoei warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser of the helmet. It is non-transferable, meaning subsequent owners of the helmet are not covered under this warranty.
What Does the Warranty Cover?
The warranty applies to the following:
- Materials and Workmanship: Shoei ensures that its helmets are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of the warranty period.
- Normal Use: The warranty is applicable when the helmet has been used as intended and properly maintained.
What Is Not Covered?
The warranty does not apply to the following situations:
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or negligence.
- Helmets that have been tampered with, modified, or improperly maintained.
- Fluorescent paints on certain models, which may fade or degrade over time due to environmental exposure.
- Any implied warranties, such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
What Protection Does the Warranty Provide?
If the helmet is found to have defects in materials or workmanship within the warranty period, Shoei will:
- Repair the Helmet: Fix the defect at no cost to you.
- Replace the Helmet: Provide a replacement helmet of the same model.
- Refund the Purchase Price: In some cases, Shoei may issue a refund of the original purchase price.
Important: Shoei is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the defect, including costs for repairs, inconvenience, or other financial losses.
How to Request a Warranty Replacement
Follow these steps to submit a warranty claim:

- The helmet.
- Proof of purchase (e.g., sales receipt) showing the date of purchase.
- A written description of the problem with the helmet.
- The model number, size, and production date (found inside the helmet).
- Your full name, address, and daytime phone number.
- Contact Moto Central: Bring or send the required items to the Moto Central if our store or website is where you purchased the helmet.
- Evaluation by Shoei: Moto Central will forward your claim to Shoei, where the helmet will be inspected to determine if the defect falls within the warranty terms.
- Resolution: If the helmet is deemed defective, Shoei will repair or replace it or provide reimbursement at the Moto Central's location.
